Eaglescliffe Junction was renamed Preston Junction in January 1854 and the S&DR was absorbed into the NER in 1863. With a low serial number, the ticket would appear to be issued mid-1850s. Creased, clipped, scuffed and a little grubby, this is still a very desirable item from the birthplace of railways. (1)£390
