All have been loose mounted by the vendor into an album with notes to accompany the various ticket changes. Condition is mostly good with some unusual/rare issues noted. Note: This is the continuation of the disposal of a comprehensive collection of London Bus, Tram and Trolleybus tickets assembled over 50 years ago which commenced last year. They have been sorted and lotted into "geographical" areas and in this catalogue the routes serving Romford and Dagenham are featured. 13SOUTH EASTERN & CHATHAM RAILWAY. A LABEL or TICKET which may have been used as identification on an educational excursion trip/outing. The large letter "E" on the pink front is thought to stand for "Educational" and the details of the passenger, in this case a boy from Napier Street School, and ticket number (431) on the deep red back. Seems to be made from a type of linen cloth with evidence that it could have been sewn onto a blazer or similar clothing. A very unusual item in VGC. Any further information would be welcome. (1)£95

39NEWCASTLE & CARLISLE RAILWAY 1st class paper ticket printed for use in 1836 from Carlisle – Warden. The original N&CR station in Carlisle (Rome Street) closed in 1837 and Warden closed in 1848. Probably one of the last paper tickets to be printed as card tickets printed by Edmondson were introduced the following year, 1837. Good condition, although a little faded. (1)£20
