They have been sorted and assembled into “geographical” areas and in this catalogue the routes serving the Deptford, Greenwich and Woolwich areas are featured. Research reveals that the train operated annually from 1871 and approx 700 tickets were issued each year to society members and their friends and relatives. Buff with pink stripe card with some creasing and holes where ticket was pinned to correspondence, a rarity nevertheless. (See also Lot 240). (1)£110

339QUEENSFERRY PASSAGE. Worked by the NBR from 13/11/1920, this was the road ferry operating between South Queensferry, Hawes Pier – North Queensferry, Railway Pier. About 1930 the working passed to William Denny & Brothers who continued the operation until the opening of the Forth Road Bridge on 4th September 1964.
