5LNER T3C PLATFORM TICKET from East Ham dated 27/8/1950. This station was originally opened by the LT&SR, passing subsequently to the MR and later LM&SR. It was never owned by the LNER. However, following nationalisation it was transferred to the Eastern Region of British Railways. Initially, tickets were ordered from the former LNER printing works, many, like this example, being produced with the old company title. (1)£110

The yellow 9d covers the full route, the brown 3d allows travel from the "Blue Door" Inn to Maidstone and the 4d salmon and 2d pink parcels are unspecific, as is the 3d brown headed Tenterden & Maidstone Motor Service, together with the Reliance fleet name following the southward extension of the route the following year. Neve sold out the Maidstone & District M.S. Ltd. on 3/6/1916. (5)£200
