8BUNTY MOTOR SERVICE whole Edmondson Return BUS TICKET on yellow card showing three stages at 1/1/d, 7d and 4d. Bunty Motor Services was an indep-endent coach operator  based at Spon End in Coventry, starting in business in 1922.  It became Bunty Motorways Ltd in Nov-ember 1929, the ticket is thought to pre-date the change. The firm grew to become Coventry's principal coach operator in the 1930s and their advertisements can be found on the back of Coventry Corporation tram tickets. (1)£30Lot 8
9GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY issued 3rd class Revised Fare Sgl from Steer Point to Plymouth MB (date unclear) (slight (/). The back is endorsed “E Lee” presumably the name of the person who originally bought the ticket. A little excess paper also present on the back. 16CAMBORNE & REDRUTH TRAMWAYS geographical punch type TRAM TICKETS covering all stages over the entire length of the line at 2d orange, 3d green and 3d mauve fares. The first and latter have been properly punched. Printed by GNP these appear to be early tickets prior to the addition of “Electric Supply Co” to the title. This was the only tramway in Cornwall opening on 7/11/1902, and closed on 29/9/1927. VGC. (3) See also Lot 356.£95Lot 16

Also a 1940s issue in a remarkable deep blue colour from the predecessor CF de la Cote d’Ivoire, one ticket from Benin for a through journey from Cotonou to Parakou (the full extent of the railway), and three 1990s issues from Senegal for the Dakar local “Petit Train Bleu” service. 428BRISTOL “GREYHOUND” COACHES. A 3¼” x 6¾” paper COACH TICKET with printed stages covering the service from Bristol to Hammersmith. The ticket is used and dated 17th April 1928 and in good condition. This was claimed by the company to be the first long-distance coach service with scheduled stops.
