11Two AUTOCAR SERVICES Ltd official booklet BUS TIMETABLES for Summer Service (1st issue) 1931 and Winter Service (1st issue) 1933. The 1931 issue has penned alterations to times inside, the 1933 issue has a large annotation to the cover, but in good condition otherwise. (2)£46
12LONDON GENERAL OMNIBUS Co. Ltd. Selection of geographical punch type BUS TICKETS from Services 17 and 17 & 23 serving Ealing and Uxbridge dating from 1910/11 – early 1920s and including two 3d issues with through fares to Underground. All different and mostly good/VGC. Note: This is the continuation of the disposal of a comprehensive collection of London Bus, Tram and Trolleybus tickets assembled over 50 years ago which has been running through our July, September and October 2001 catalogues. They have been sorted and lotted into "geographical" areas and in this catalogue the routes serving the Ealing and Uxbridge and the Woolwich areas are featured. It is intended to continue the "geographical" theme in further batches of tickets from this collection in our April and future catalogues. Be sure to look out for the other lots in this catalogue. 13A LONDON "UNDERGROUND" RAILWAYS coloured POCKET MAP issued c.1910 with advertisement for "Schoolbred’s" store in Tottenham Court Road with numbered references showing places of interest etc. In VGC and quite rare. (1)£90
14A "MIDLAND RED" HANGING SHOWCARD with colour map showing the extent of the companies’ services, routes numbers, garages and office telephone numbers etc. The presence of two rusty staples and paper residue suggests that it might have had a calendar or notepad. Undated, but probably late 1920s. VGC. (1)£80
15Three LT enamel BUS STOP "E" PLATES: "505 Mon - Fri" in white on blue; "701" in cream on green and "81c Mon – Sat" a larger size plate in black on white. All items in VGC. (3)£55
16METROPOLITAN RAILWAY. A WORKING NOTICE for Easter Holidays 5th – 8th April 1912. 10pp includes Oxford and Aylesbury Tram Road Service. One or two slightly ragged edges, a small tear at fold and rather fragile, overall good for age. (1)£20

49RIBBLE MOTOR SERVICES. ORIGINAL ARTWORK for POSTER "Private Hire" by an artist signing him/herself as "TTN". Colourful picture of coach drawing alongside a country or seaside pub "The Anchor Inn". A little minor cracking to paint where the poster has been rolled, but generally good and bright. (1)£50
50A "GREEN LINE" Ltd. UNIFORM CAP BADGE "Inspector" in green and black enamel in an art deco triangular design surrounded by chrome laurel leaves. The name Inspector is in a green enamel scroll at the base. Used c.1930. A superb, extremely scarce badge in excellent condition. (1)£640

61A "TIMPSONS" COACH TIMETABLE for the Summer Season 1940 overstamped by the agents "Julius & Lockwood" who were themselves an operator of buses in London in the 1920s. Although wartime, an ambitious range of tours was listed. It would be interesting whether any of these ever took place. VGC. (1)£22

97HIGHGATE HILL TRAMWAYS Ltd 1d white punch type TRAM TICKET for the journey between Archway Tavern – Highgate and vice versa. This 3’ 6" gauge cable tramway was opened by the Highgate Tramway Co on 29/5/1884. Following an accident in 1892, the tramway ceased operation and the company went into liquidation. It reopened in 1897 with "Limited" status and closed 23/8/1909 being absorbed into the LCC who rebuilt and reopened the line some 8 months later with standard gauge. It was during this later period the ticket was issued. VGC and extremely rare. (1)£430

330A double sided white and black enamel "Northern Line" UNDERGROUND CAR DESTINATION BOARD with "Elstree" on one side, "Special" on the other. Each end has brass fittings that fitted into slots at the front of the train and was one of a number which were rotated on brass rings. Made during the late 1930s when the extension to Elstree was proposed, but never achieved. A little chipping around the two holes, but good overall. (1)£34
