NBR Grantown Ferry |
North British Railway. Two tickets for the ferry between Granton and Burntisland, worked by only one steamer - the P.S. Willaim Muir - after full train working over the Forth Bridge commenced on 2 June 1890. One is for a Motor Bicycle with Side Car and the other a child single with a vignette of an early steamer. The crossing is perhaps most famous for being home to the world's first train ferry, the 'goods boat' P.S. Leviathan. |
