PLEASE NOTE: Unless otherwise stated, all tickets are whole Edmondson card in what we consider to be "good" condition. However, some may have paper, glue or Sellotape residue on the back due to previous mounting. Due to limitations of space, we may not always point this out in the catalogue description, for which we apologise. Customers should satisfy themselves as to the condition of tickets prior to bidding.

6WOLVERHAMPTON CORPORATION TRAMWAYS: Geographical stage punch type TRAM TICKETS comprising 1d white and 1½d green for the Tettenhall Road Route, 1d white for the Wednesfield Route and 1d white for the Newhampton Road Route. A 1d white single with four numerical stages is also included. The Wednesfield route closed on 23/7/1923 and the whole system by the end of 1928. All of the tickets have a little mounting paper on the backs, while the 1d Tettenhall Road ticket has minor marks on the face. (5)£75
7KENT & EAST SUSSEX RAILWAY: Issued whole Edmondsons comprising 5 K&ESR (including Guinness Hop-pickers and Hops Marketing Board prints), 2 SR issued at K&ES stations, 4 SR to the line (including 2 Hop-Picker 1938), and 3 Rother Valley issues. The lot also contains 2 issued Rother Valley thin card tickets and the following audit whole Edmondsons – 19 titled K&ESR, one SE&C&K&ESRys, one Rother Valley, 2 SR and 3 BR. (42)£130
8PWLLHELI & LLANBEDROG TRAMWAYS: Two unused two-piece thin card whole return HORSE TRAM TICKETS, one for an ordinary journey between Llanbedrog and West End Hotel, the other a Market Ticket from The Maes to Llanbedrog – both at a fare of 6d. The link to Llanbedrog opened c.1897 and closed after gales washed away part of the track on 28/11/1927. (1)£120

The names of three halts appear on the ticket – Evesham Road Crossing Halt, Chambers Crossing Halt, and Broad Marston Crossing Halt – all of which opened on 17/1/0/1904 and closed on 17/7/1916. 50THE HARTLEPOOL ELECTRIC TRAMWAYS 1d off white geographical punch type TRAM TICKET with the five named stages. The company was authorised to rebuild the defunct 3’ 6” gauge Hartlepool Steam Tramways using overhead electric power and was opened on 19th May 1896 finally reaching nearly 7 miles in length.  West Hartlepool Corporation took over the system in August 1912.  The system finally succumbed to trolleybus replacement when the Seaton Carew line closed on 25th March 1927.  A rare example in excellent condition. 154CUNARD STEAMSHIP COMPANY LTD. 3rd class tie on BAGGAGE LABEL for use from the wharf at East Boston, Mass. on the SS Laconia, departing for Liverpool on 19/8/1913. The label is written out for a George S. Lewis of Shepherds Bush, London, and appears to have been for delivery to his home address via Uxbridge Road Station, as the ‘landing’ portion is not completed. The Laconia – an 18,000 ton vessel – entered service in 1912 but was torpedoed and sunk off the Irish coast on 25/2/1917, with the loss of 12 lives – an act which led to the USA entering WW1. Records show that the ship arrived in Boston from Liverpool on 13/8/1913, so the label would have been for its return journey. (1)£40
